Being a leader is tough under the best of circumstances – a well-known truth to anyone who has ever had the dubious pleasure of leading people. But what happens when you throw in a global pandemic, undefined ‘work-from-home’ rules and an enormous amount of uncertainty into the mix? Even the most experienced leaders may find themselves at their wits’ end, struggling the best they can to survive every new expectation thrown at them.

During our conversation with Kelly Leonard on the B.O.O.S.T. Podcast, we discussed how leaders could learn to handle uncertainty, deal with the disempowering thoughts of the Imposter Syndrome, and stop being permissive. The increased challenge leaders face isn’t cause for alarm but a reason for leaders to focus on their development. It’s why this episode is a must-listen for anyone in leadership who wants to stop sabotaging themselves by giving away their power and authority because of a negative fixed mindset and limiting beliefs.

We ended the podcast exploring the importance of shifting our self-talk and accepting and owning our natural talents and gifts. And that we need to do this despite how difficult it may seem to rewrite automatic negative thoughts and scripts that make us see ourselves as ‘broken’ or not good enough to lead and achieve our potential. Our conversation covered so much ground, yet we managed to dive deeply into each topic in such a short period of time!
